We were honored to be one of eight Peruvian chefs around the world featured in "Conquistadores," a documentary series produced by Movistar Peru. The series follows cooks who, with great passion and effort, are bringing Peruvian flavors and culture to kitchens far from home.
For us the recognition meant a lot. Cooking Peruvian food in Stockholm is a daily exercise in translation: sourcing ingredients, explaining dishes, building a bar that can pour a real pisco sour. Being part of this larger story of chefs around the world doing the same work, in their own cities, was a quiet kind of validation.
